of rural Manitoba industries

Like the quality of the material they
work with, C&R Sheetmetal Ltd.
(C&R), has built its reputation on
reliability, effective technique and
skill since its inception in 2001.
“We have always had a good work
ethic,” said Rob Greenwood, who
co-founded C&R along with his business
partner, Chad Zelmer. “We’ve also always
prioritized having good relationships
with everybody whether that’s plumbers,
customers or contractors.”
Fabrication sheet metal workers form
metal into thin, flat pieces through an
industrial process, using it for everything
from automobiles and trucks to airplane
wings and medical tables. Sheet metal’s
popularity stems from its affordability,
formability and weldability. Many
different metals also produce sheet metal,
including aluminum, brass, copper, steel,
tin, nickel and titanium.
Even though the team works mainly
with galvanized metal – metal covered
with a zinc coating to prevent rusting
– they also work with the ever-reliable
stainless steel quite a bit, too, says
Greenwood. Both materials ensure the
sheet metal can bend and turn into the
desired shape, fitting almost like a jigsaw
puzzle and enabling an efficient, low-cost
solution for their customers.
C&R works out of Brandon, in the
industrial area on Park Avenue, in the
east end of the city. Their work is all
custom-made, often requiring different
approaches and processes from the team,
who designs every project to ensure it
fits each jobsite accurately and securely.
