Brandon-based
landscaper puts
green into Manitoba’s
infrastructure and
construction projects
By Kelly Gray
When Mother Nature needs a helping hand,
Livingstone Landscaping Ltd., is there to offer
support. Based in Brandon, Livingstone is a
multifaceted design/build landscaping company
that provides services from groundskeeping and ground shaping
to snow removal right up to tendered projects supporting
Manitoba Infrastructure.
The company is a family business that has made a sizeable
reputation for quality work in the Brandon community. This year
they moved to a new six-acre site on Byng Avenue that adds to
their capabilities with larger offices and more interior and exterior
space for storing equipment such as skid steers, hoses and water
haulers. Indeed, the new location has allowed them to launch
Livingstone Outdoor, a new sister company that will offer sales,
service, products and expertise for contractors and DIY installers
throughout the Westman region.
Projects and activities have been steadily building over the more
than 10 years that Livingstone Landscaping has been in business.
For example, its crews have been taking on jobs fixing Manitoba’s
roadside infrastructure, refurbishing a school property in a
prominent Parklands region community and undertaking grounds
work in Riding Mountain National Park (RMNP).
“We have been doing quite a bit of highway work this year,”
said Josh Berg, project manager at Livingstone Landscaping. He
mentions jobs on the Trans-Canada Highway near Virden and
