EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE
to our sponsors, membership and all who
assisted in the logistics of putting on such a
well-attended fundraising event.
We are nearing the end of the year,
the inaugural year of our own PlanPoint
platform. I have had the opportunity
to learn what this platform has to offer
and have received positive feedback
from membership. We have had some
suggestions for possible improvements
that were shared with Cloudtric in hopes
of getting these implemented to make
PlanPoint even better. We are on route to
surpass 2,000 job postings for this year and
are currently at a 50 per cent awarded rate.
The possibilities are endless. We have
the opportunity to grow our reach and
membership as an association. For the
remainder of this year and next, I will focus
on making connections in the construction
industry and with all levels of government.
I have had opportunities to meet with
numerous city departments in Brandon
which have been eye opening and given
me a better understanding of the City’s
position. I will be reaching out to other

municipalities over the next few months
to open doors and venues for us to get the
CARM name better known throughout
Manitoba. I have also been in contact with
other associations within the construction
industry so that we can collaborate
and address construction concerns at a
provincial level with one voice, increasing
the impact we can have for industry.
As we focus on the restart to our
economy, I and many others know that
the construction industry plays a key role
in making recovery a success. We need to
ensure the municipal, provincial and federal
governments understand the importance
of forward-thinking and planning to allow
for increased infrastructure, which in turn
will provide space for the economic growth
required to pull us through this pandemic
stronger than before.
As I and the team at CARM seek to
assist the association in broadening our
reach, we ask for your continued support,
input and feedback so we can ensure we are
meeting the needs of our membership.
Thank you to our members for the
professionalism you demonstrate each
day in your field of expertise to help
build rural Manitoba. n
The association seems to
be heading in a sustainable
direction and I believe that I
can participate actively in the
successful future of CARM.
