Princess Dental Centre to open
doors in fall 2020
When Princess Dental Centre opens its
doors in fall 2020, the team, which includes
four dentists, will have twice as much space
configured to provide patients with the best
care possible.
The new space will have six more operatories
than the previous space, with two
extra operatories to accommodate future
growth. Ten-foot exterior windows and
interior glass will allow natural light to pour
into all of the operatories.
The HVAC system has been upgraded
and the team chose antimicrobial flooring
which will contribute to maintaining
a safe environment for team members
and patients.
“Many dental offices had moved towards
open concept designs, but we planned from
the outset to have completely sealed individual
treatment rooms,” said McIntosh. “It
was initially planned for maintaining privacy
and managing sound, but moving forward it
also allows for proper aerosol management.”
The Princess Dental Centre team is
excited about all the improvements, including
easy, non-congested patient flow, 3D
imaging, dental scanning technology which
will eliminate impression materials, the
capability for same-day crowns, designated
sedation dentistry operatory, isolated treatment
rooms with high-quality aerosol
management technology and the beautiful,
spacious patient waiting area.
Even with the added challenges, CW2
is on track to complete the project before
the slated fall 2020 opening date. The
team’s experience with comparable projects
– including transforming a 12,500-squarefoot
radio station into a cutting-edge denture
clinic – has enabled the team to forge ahead.
“CW2 is agile and adapts to changes.
That, along with our great team, is why
we have found success,” said LaBuick.
“We’ve been fortunate to work through
the pandemic – and also to share that
fortune in providing work for local subtrades
and suppliers. Princess Dental
Centre will be absolutely stunning when
it’s finished – and we’re honoured to be
the general contractor.” n

CW2 also has a number of
COVID-19 protocols such as
disinfecting tools at the end
of every shift, washing down
doorknobs and high-touch surfaces,
and ensuring that everyone onsite
maintains a two-metre distance at
all times.
